Flower Power Pillows

I joined my very first knit along a couple of weeks ago, to knit these beautiful pillows. This so much fun, with Susan, Sarah and Jenny as we share our knitting triumphs! No sooner did we get started when we expanded the knit along to all things floral! And Jenni joined us to knit a poncho!
Here’s the large flower pillow saga to date:
* joined a knit along with some wonderful knitting friends from our Yorick projects . . .
* Ran right out and gathered the yarn for the pillow: Lamb’s Pride: loved the colors . . .
* Knitted away, right along with everone else!
* Looked at my yarn color combinations and decided they looked like exotic crayon colors instead of lovely, heathery, muted colors. . . ugh.
* Pondered what to do next . . .
* Went to the crazy yarn shop which is 1000 years old. . .
* Found this french yarn which looked heathery, muted and lovely . . .
* bought some to TRY. . .
* Loved it, loved it, loved it!
* Went to get the rest of what I needed--asked if they could get more colors in, only to find that the yarn has probably been
in the store for every one of the 1000 years they have been open, and NO they can’t . . .
* Presently knitting the pillow and loving it, knowing that my yarn is unavailable and old!
